Exploring the Limestone Landscapes of Upper Wharfedale
by Phillip MURPHY

MURPHY, Phillip (2003). Exploring the Limestone Landscapes of Upper Wharfedale [Cave Studies Series 13]. Buxton: British Cave Research Association. £2.50 plus postage. ISBN-0-900265-27-2. 48pp, A5, with 22 photos, 12 figures.

A walkers' guide

Here we explore Upper Wharfedale not only from the viewpoint of the caver, but also the non-caver, the would-be caver, the never-will-be-caver and the just plain interested visitor wishing to learn a little more about the exciting and unusual glaciokarst landscape that is all around. We suggest interesting walks away from the public highway, off the beaten track that can be undertaken on foot, or in some instances by off-road bicycle, and try to explain what is to be seen and tell something of what lies beneath or within the rock
