In August 2000, teams ascended Mont Blanc and descended the Gouffre Berger and established radio and SSTV communication. Graham Naylor tells the story of this most unusual expedition.

 

Computer Simulation of a Grounded Wire Antenna

The equations that describe the sub-surface fields due to a wire laid on the surface are complicated, both to define and solve.
