Editorial

The editorial mentions the pioneer divers of Wookey Hole, Jack Sheppard and Rob Parker.

It is astounding to realise that the "British Caving Association", which would emerge from the ashes of BCRA and NCA, was first mentioned 16 years ago by Rob Palmer - the wheels grind slowly! If you want a say in the recent moves towards a possible merger, join the email discussion groups discussing the various "teams" for Policy & Resources, Meetings, Publishing & Library, Administration, Insurance & Legal, Technical & Training, Conservation & Access, Cave Science & Research, and International, which can be found through links on the NCA web site: www.nca.org.uk.

Ian Ellis Chandler has resigned as Editor of Caves & Caving, and this issue has been edited temporarily by Clive Gardener. However, a new team of editors is required, and if you feel at home with grammatical skills, emails, Word documents, pdf files, proof reading, design, layout or any other aspect of producing a quality magazine please get in touch.
