News from British caving regions:
- North:
- Dale Barn.
- Two teams of Red Rose cavers complete the Three Pots challenge in
22 hours (the three deepest potholes under the Yorkshire Three Peaks,
Ingleborough (Meregill Hole), Penyghent (Penyghent Pot) and Whernside (King
Pot)). The challenge will include fell running to the top of the Three Peaks as
well next year, and returning to the starting point, the whole round of 22
miles (35Km) being on foot and carrying all the caving tackle!
- Peak District:
- Digging the James Hall Over Engine Mine to Speedwell Cavern
through route.
- Assault Course extended to Faucett Rake in the Pilkington Series
of Speedwell Cavern.
